Giant Full E+ Pro

  • Model2018 Full E+ Pro 1
  • Star Rating (4)

A mountain bike like the Giant Full E+ is going to suit one of two types of riders. The first is riders just getting into the sport and worried about their fitness. By jumping on an ebike as capable as the Full E+, new riders will be confident to hit up trails with their more seasoned buddies. And we don’t think this should be understated. If you have ever wanted to try your hand at mountain biking but worried you might be left gasping on the first slight incline, this new breed of mountain bikes is for you. The second kind of rider that will be interested in the Giant Full E+ is the more experienced rider wanting to break through some riding barriers. These riders might want to session their local enduro downhill circuit in preparation for race day without the usual fatigue of hauling back uphill between runs. Whatever the case, the Full E+ is about pushing through boundaries. So whether you are new rider looking for a helping hand or an experienced rider looking to challenge your limits, the Giant Full E+ is for you.

Previous versions of the Full E+ steered away from Giant’s traditional Maestro suspension, but the tide has turned. The updated model now boasts a well-equipped Maestro suspension system leveraging the many years of refinement Giant has put into the platform. This helps the new Full E+ ride like a well-engineered mountain bike, which ideal if you truly want to take advantage of e-mountain biking. As you would expect, the 140mm of travel on 27.5” wheels delivers a trail orientated ride and makes the bike well suited to all round trail riding from long all mountain epics to just smashing out some laps at your local MTB park. With a 67 degree head angle, the Full E+ range will be sure footed on the steepest and most technical of terrain but not necessarily well suited to tight switchback climbs. But at the end of the day, with 80Nm of torque delivered by the Giant SyncDrive Pro central motor, we don’t think this will bother anyone. Switchback? What switchback?

All models share the frame, rear suspension and motor technology with variations in build kit depending on your budget.
