The Giant Liv Langma was designed from the ground up as a women’s elite race bike with competitive riders in mind. For those who want to lead the breakaway up the climb or solo off the front of the peloton, this is the bike to help you do it. It combines Giant’s famous stiff and responsive carbon frame technologies with Aero features in an ultra-light package. So, if you are looking to step up in your local criterium series or win that KOM you have always come so close to winning, the Langma is the bike for you.
Giant has gone to great lengths to ensure each frame will perform at its best regardless of sizing. The “LivRight Sizing Philosophy” means that each frame size is designed and tested to ensure it handles in the same way, providing riders of all sizes the same race-tuned ride. The compact frame design will suit riders up to approximately 178cm while taller riders will most likely prefer a unisex alternative. However, for the majority of female riders, the women’s geometry is going to impress. Giant has also shown some impressive attention to detail. One small but clever feature is the RideSense speed and cadence sensor. The sensor fits neatly into the chainstay keeping your bike looking sleek and fast.
Like all of Giant’s high end carbon bikes, the Langma comes in two frame options. The Advanced SL and, for the more budget conscious, the Advanced. The key difference between the two options is the fame material. The Advanced SL uses Giant’s highest quality carbon and the fewest possible sections to reduce the frame weight by around 100g compared to the Advanced frame. The Langma Advanced is great value for money and offers a range of componentry from Tiagra up to Ultegra DI2. The Advanced Pro models offer pro level componentry and more options such as disc brakes. As you would expect, the Advanced SL is loaded up with every high end option you could imagine. With SRAM eTap and Giant’s lightest carbon bars, stem and wheels, there can’t be any excuses. The Langma Advanced SL is as good as it gets.
