From 200mm of downhill suspension through to XC racing hardtails and everything in between. Giant has the full spectrum of mainstream mountain biking covered. We say mainstream because if we were critical we might suggest that Fat Bikes are a legitimate category which Giant leave out, but let's not get down to semantics.
Giant has always been strong in this category with the XTC and Anthem very popular bikes out on the XC racing circuits. The choice here is between hardtail or full suspension, then once you have that nailed you can think about your budget which will determine the model best for you. We would go out on a limb and say there isn't a bad egg in this line-up. Great value at every level and quality to ride to match.
We are biased but we believe this is the category of bike that most people should be thinking about. Light enough to race at your local enduro event, but fun enough to hit up pretty technical trails on weekend rides. There are three options from Giant here, those being the Trance Advanced, Trance and Stance.
The category that has exploded in recent year with the popularity of enduro downhill racing, the Enduro category from Giant is represented by the Reign and Rein Advanced. Think lots of travel(160mm), slack angles and lots of fun-tastic riding days. You might learn to love shuttle days.
Ahhhh downhill racing...So much fun. The Giant Glory is an absolute beast of bike that would probably be the most popular DH bike globally. We don't have any data to support that claim, but based on the DH events we have been to they are everywhere. That many people just can't be wrong, so if you're looking for a solid DH bike you should check out the Giant Glory or Glory Advanced.
